Hello! My name is Leslie Martin.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visualization from Texas A&M University. When I was younger, my life plan was to build fireworks and drive the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile around the USA. That was before I realized that someone had to be paid to make animations to put on the big screen for people to watch, at which point I became excited about the possibility of that someone being me.

When I realized that I could make a career that involved art, storytelling, computers, and making people happy, I decided that's what I want to do with my life. I was accepted to the Savannah College of Art and Design for the Fall quarter of 2009, where I learned fine art and design skills as well as 2D and 3D animation techniques and the various uses of Maya. I also learned that rigging is a thing that most people hate, but it's basically like virtual robotics with a larger need for anatomical accuracy and more flexibility because you can break physics if need be on a computer. I graduated with a minor in Character Technical Direction in 2014, and continued on to the graduate program at Texas A&M so I could learn more technical work.

I have worked on several movies as a rigger and CFX artist. These productions include Bernie The Dolphin, Aquaman, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Over The Moon.

I am currently working at Mainframe Studios in Vancouver on a really fun undisclosed series!
